Therapy for LGBTQA2S+ Individuals and Relationships
As a proud member of the LGBTQ2S+ community, I am honored to work with you to nurture a life filled with love, belonging, and the freedom to be who you are. These essential human needs are important for everyone.
Our community often faces unique challenges that may not be fully understood by those outside of it. Working with a therapist who is part of the LGBTQ2S+ community means engaging with someone who understands the distinct experiences associated with non-traditional relationships and identities. Whether you are single, dating, or navigating open, polyamorous, or monogamous relationships, I am here to support you through the unique challenges you face.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with training in relational therapy, working with individuals, couples, throuples, and diverse relationship structures. My educational background includes a focus on Gestalt approaches, which emphasizes self-awareness and connection in relationships. Additionally, I have participated in seminars and workshops which informs my trauma-informed approach to therapy.
Together, we will work on forming therapy goals, explore blocks to your full potential, and address relational traumas that may affect your well-being. My practice is inherently compassionate, and I strive to create an honest environment where you can reflect on your experiences as we enhance your relational skills.
Your sexuality can be complex and fluid, and I am here to provide a safe space to explore diverse identities and experiences, including asexuality, demisexuality, and various expressions of gender and romance. I understand and respect alternative relationships and identities and am committed to fostering a culturally competent and inclusive practice.
If deeper issues arise that exceed my expertise, I will guide you through the referral process to ensure that you receive the specialized support you may need.

Welcome, Friends of Doreen!
Introducing Doreen DeVine
(Sensitivity Alert: Skip the first paragraph if you are sensitive to personal sharing.)
Doreen represents a part of my journey as a therapist. My experiences, including navigating the challenges posed by a narcissistic upbringing, have shaped my understanding of relationships and emotional health. In my life, I faced significant challenges, including the impact of negative self-perception instilled by others. Through extensive personal growth and therapy, I learned to embrace all aspects of myself, including those parts that have been disowned.
As Doreen, a self-aware narcissist and performer, I aim to shed light on the complexities of narcissism and how it can manifest in our lives. Narcissism is often misunderstood; it exists on a spectrum and can be seen as a natural human adaptation. My journey allows me to educate others in a compassionate and relatable way, helping those who may also suffer from narcissistic traits to gain self-awareness and develop self-compassion.
Doreen’s purpose is to portray the human side of narcissism, offering hope that change and growth are possible. We can learn emotional regulation skills, develop awareness of our triggers, and practice empathy toward others. This perspective fosters healthier communication and understanding in relationships. My experiences working with individuals, both diagnosed and self-diagnosed with narcissistic traits, have shown me the strong connections between these behaviors and often invisible relational traumas.
Whatever dynamics you grew up with may feel normal, even if they were toxic. In therapy, we focus on interpersonal awareness and compassion. Together, we will explore who you are in relation to others and promote self-compassion as a foundation for making new choices.
Engaging with Doreen and Darren
Together, Doreen and I will be recording discussions shared through social media, allowing an exploration of these themes in depth. We will also present some musical duets that bring Doreen’s character to life, providing a creative outlet for this journey. Check out a couple of performances below!
